Like flags, floppy cutters control light sources: they can prevent lens flare, control spill light from other light sources, and protect light from reaching unwanted areas on set. Cutters are rectangular and can be mounted anywhere using the mounting pins attached. Floppies feature an extra layer of material on one edge, and when needed, can be released to make the cutter double in size.
